Frog, a small creature with a big heart, learns the true meaning of friendship when he spends a few happy hours with his pals. One morning Frog sits alone on a log, lonely for company. One by one, his friends join him for an afternoon of fun. Then, one by one, they leave as the day draws to an end. Although Frog is alone again, he is happy because he knows that his good friends will always be nearby. Counting on Friends teaches science, math and social skills. Children add and subtract the numbers one to five as each friend arrives and departs. At the end of the story, readers play a counting game in which they must find groups of five matching items in each illustration. From cover to cover, this storybook makes learning fun!
